Hope in the Midst of Chaos

How to remain optimistic in a world that seems broken? How to trust a God that seems conspicuously absent? How to find peace in a world that seems out of control? If you’ve ever asked QUESTIONS like these, you’re not alone . . . biblical wisdom for a chaotic world.

A series of sermons starting Sunday 5 September.

5 September - Life is full of uncertainties. For many of us stress and uncertainty rule our lives. In the midst of this, do you ever wonder, “Where is God?” Is it possible to maintain faith in God when there is no evidence of his activity in our lives? It is during these darkest times that God may be doing his greatest work. (Mark 14:17-24, 27-29; Romans 8:28)

12 September – Have you ever noticed that God seems to get our attention more during the “bumps” of life than when things are going smoothly? During times of crisis—we turn to God. What does God want when he finally has your attention? (Philippians 4:4-7)

19 September – In whom or what are you placing your hope? Parents, relationships, careers, or wealth? Things like these are often the center of our expectations. But, eventually, all these earthly hopes decay. How can we remain hopeful in a world that at times seems hopelessly broken? (Romans 8:20, 26-30, 33-39; Psalm 33:22)
